Accidentally Blocked Camera Access?
If you see “Camera is missing” in your interview, you likely denied camera access when your browser asked for permission. Browsers won’t ask again once you’ve denied — you need to manually enable it in settings.Good news: Camera is optional! You can tap “Keep my camera off” and complete an audio-only interview. But if you want to enable video, follow the steps below.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)
Tap Camera under 'Settings for Websites'
Scroll down to find Settings for Websites section, then tap Camera.
Android (Chrome)
In Chrome, tap the lock icon in the address bar
Look at the top of your screen where the website address is. Tap the lock icon (or info icon) on the left side.
Find Camera and tap 'Reset' or change to 'Allow'
Look for Camera in the list. Tap it and select Allow, or tap Reset to be prompted again.

If the above doesn’t work:Long-press the Chrome app icon
On your home screen, press and hold the Chrome icon until a menu appears.
Mac (Safari)
Click Safari in the menu bar → Settings
With Safari open, click Safari in the top menu bar, then click Settings (or Preferences on older macOS).
Find the Rehearsals website and change to 'Allow'
Look for the Rehearsals website in the list on the right. Click the dropdown next to it and select Allow.If you don’t see it listed, change the dropdown at the bottom that says “When visiting other websites” to Ask or Allow.

Safari also needs system-level permission on Mac:Open System Settings (or System Preferences)
Click the Apple menu → System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS).
Make sure Safari is checked
Find Safari in the list and make sure the toggle is ON (or checkbox is checked).
Mac (Chrome)
Click the lock icon in Chrome's address bar
Look at the left side of the address bar where you see the website URL. Click the lock icon (or tune icon).

Ensure these are all turned ON:
- “Camera access” (or “Allow apps to access your camera”)
- “Allow desktop apps to access your camera”
Don’t Want to Use Camera?
That’s totally fine! Camera is optional. To proceed without video:- On the camera setup step, tap “Keep my camera off”
- Confirm your choice in the dialog
- Continue with an audio-only interview

Try these additional steps:
- Restart your browser — Close it completely and reopen
- Close other apps using the camera — Zoom, FaceTime, Teams, etc.
- Check for a physical camera cover — Some laptops have privacy shutters
- Restart your device — Sometimes permissions need a restart

- Close Zoom, FaceTime, Teams, Google Meet, or any video apps
- Close and reopen your browser
- Try refreshing the interview page

Corporate devices often have camera access locked down. Try:
- Use your personal phone — Open the interview link on your own device
- Continue without camera — Tap “Keep my camera off” for audio-only
